Launching Manassat 2019.
Manassat is a platform integrated into our Nordic Focus Project, mainly bringing and implementing collaborations between Arab Artists and Nordic countries. Since there is a large investment from the Nordic side, bringing many top notch ensembles and artists to the Cairo Contemporary Music Days, EECMS would like to invest as well in order to carry out collaboration from the Nordic countries. The EECMS is very grateful that Manassat has won the support of the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture in 2019, it’s already the second time that the platform has won this prestigious prize from one of the few funds in the Arab world operating at this level. In 2015 the fund played an important role releasing the At present Project and the Caprice performance which both played a very important part in developing our work and demonstrating that contemporary music is a global artistic language that can also express local and regional socio-political issues.

إطلاق مبادرة منصات ٢٠١٩ منصات هى مبادرة فى إطار التعاون مع دول شمال أوروبا، تهدف فى الدرجة الأولى لتقديم وتطوير نتاج عربي فى محافل الموسيقى المعاصرة بدول الشمال، وحيث أن دول الشمال قد استثمرت لإحضار أهم مجاميعها ومؤلفيها الى القاهرة، فقد حاولت الجمعية الأوروبية المصرية للموسبقى المعاصرة أيضا فى المساهمة بهذا التعاون على أن لا يتضمن صفة المبادلة فحسب، بل يمتد ويشمل عدد أكبر من الفنانين العرب، ويسعدنا بالفعل كسب دعم الصندوق العربي للثقافة والفنون ( أفاق ) أهم وجهة للفنانين العرب عامة، ومن قلائل المؤسسات التى يمتد نشاطها ودعمها الى أنحاء العالم العربي . والجدير بالذكر أنها المرة الثانية التى نحظى فيها بهذا الدعم، حيث حصلنا فى ٢٠١٥ على دعم مشروعي نجميات وكابريس فى إطار (فى الحاضر ) التى لعبت دورا مهما فى تطور عملنا ورسالتنا وإظهار الموسيقى المعاصرة كلغة عالمية يمكن أن تعبر عن التطورات السياسية والاجتماعية بالمنطقة العربية، بل وخارج أى نقاش جغرافى
